Based on the reflection of Intervention 2, I decided to create a website where anyone can share their experience of buying and using different pharmaceutical products.
Intervention Purpose
- Receive more opinions and experience sharing from relevant people.
- I hope to provide people with a website for popular science and related information, which can be queried or shared before purchasing, such as how to use it.

- The website consists of two parts. The first is the message board, where people can choose their identity, doctor or consumer, and leave their stories.
- The second is the blog, which I will update regularly with articles that aim to tell people about some common information misconceptions and misunderstandings.
Next Step
In the coming time, I will continue to refine the third intervention in the following aspects:
- Ensure the accuracy of the information on the website: if the message system is real-name, how to prevent people from being afraid of receiving threats and reluctant to leave messages? And if the message system is anonymous, how to ensure the authenticity of all messages?
- Make sure that the information on the website is appropriate for every user: pharmaceutical products are completely different from ordinary commodities. Due to individual differences, the same pharmaceutical product will have different effects on different individuals. So how to ensure the accurate use of each pharmaceutical product in each individual is also necessary.
- Find allies: Find people or groups who share my goals and do the same things to work with.
- Add a website Disclaimer: Not by way of allowing bad behavior and no responsibility on my behalf, but by way of getting people also to take accountability and responsibility for their research and their health care as well.
- Ads：I wanted to do a small intervention to get people to fully immerse themselves in the scene and realize that it is necessary to double-check products on this website before buying on social media. I also use this intervention as a way to promote this website, which I think is more effective than posting its address in a hospital or on the web.
- Interview：I will also strengthen interviews with antithesis, professional doctors, hospitals, dispensers, and research on medical professional literature.
Feedback
I spoke to Chen, a medical columnist who had infiltrated a pharmaceutical processing plant in China’s Sichuan province in 2019 under the guise of a prospective partner and quietly recorded key video evidence. He later wrote a report on the experience, which attracted a lot of attention on the Chinese internet. “My biggest concern is my safety,” Chen said during the interview, “especially after the incident fermented, and I was afraid that they would retaliate against me because I had touched their interests. At the same time, my report is also highly discussed on the Internet, and people’s opinions are not consistent. The overly sharp language and explicit reality in the report may cause confrontation between people with different points of view, and I think it is also important to convey the message to people subtly.”
Reflection
- There is a high risk that the website may cause harm to the users of the website.
- The blog form is simple and boring, not attractive and topical, does not meet the reading needs of people today, so it is difficult to attract the target group.
Unit 3 Reflection
After going through the third unit of research and investigation, I feel that I have made great progress. In this unit, I did a total of three interventions. The first intervention was very imperfect and illogical, and was not overly documented and feedback. At that time, I was more concerned about the outcome of the intervention, so I overlooked a lot of details during the intervention. The second intervention started with an attempt to document the whole process and show it to people in a visual format. I received a lot of affirmation and resonance from people during this intervention, which was a small success for me. After summarizing and reflecting on the second intervention, I redesigned the third intervention. Although there is still a lot to be done, I have gone deeper into this project than previous interventions and studies. I discovered a lot of new perspectives, communicated with different stakeholders and target interest groups, and researched different medical information, and all of this made me grow. I believe that I will be able to do better in the future.
